Debate Teaching Assistant: Assists debate coach with lesson overviews, round feedbacks, and writing class summaries. Provided over 30 pieces of feedback to 6 debaters

Debate Judge: Judged debate tournaments for younger/inexperienced debaters Helped provide individual feedback and suggestions to 30+ participants.

SJS Debate Club Leader: Creates debate lesson plans, register club members for external tournaments, crafting debate motions, judging and providing feedback to each club member on a weekly basis. (9-12)

Marketing Director of Pacific Northwest Debate Society: Developed over 10 social media posts, an introductory presentation for new debaters; generated bake sale fundraiser ideas for tournaments; and leads a team of 12 to delegate marketing tasks. (11-12)

Debate Tournament Volunteer, The Idea Society (UBC Elementary School Tournament): Ran debate tournament alongside team of 8 volunteers, taking 150+ photos for media, welcoming participants, judging & providing individual feedback to 16 debaters. (10)

Director, Youth Art for Action: Outreach manager and host of biweekly painting sessions at senior homes, including Amica Arbutus Manor and Terraces on 7th; manager and recruiter of all volunteers; creating and teaching accessible painting themes. (11-12)

Attendee at Yarrow workshops: Produced a cyanotype print with shared photographs that produce an image representing the desired legacy of Black and Chinese communities in the nearby future. Awarded $150 as an honorarium (10)

Model UN Activities

Under-Secretary-General Marketing for Horizons CAHSMUN (11-12): 1 of 8 students selected to organize the 7th iteration of Horizons for ~400 delegates; conducted 30+ staff interviews to run the conference; hire ~10 photographers and videographers to join the media team; formatting all delegate nametags, placards, and handbooks.

Co-organizer, RichMUN Club Circuit 3rd Iteration (11): co-managed all logistical, financial, and substantive matters of a 1-day conference in partnership with Richmond Model United Nations. Hired and managed four staff members to facilitate debate for 20 (mostly beginner) delegates on a fictional crisis committee about Star Wars.

Director of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (12): wrote 10,000+ words of academic research on the topics of predictive policing and whistleblower protection, welcoming a committee of 85 delegates for 3 days of debate; manages two other staff members to facilitate cohesive debate, primary contact for all delegate inquiries

Member --> Executive, SJS Model UN Club: Hosts weekly club meetings alongside two other students; introducing students to the rules of procedure, running mock trials, and editing position papers; grew membership from 10 to 28 members

Photographer on media team, CAIMUN: documented 900+ of the conference experience for attending delegates (11)

Assistant Director of NATO: Directed NATO committee discussions along with two other staff members about Piracy in the Strait of Hormuz and Preventing Cyber Espionage Provided preparation resources for prospective delegates, facilitated delegates’ debate, reviewed 10+ research papers, and provided 32 delegates with feedback; Moderated a professional, active committee and received positive evaluations from delegates. Chair of Historical - UNSC CAHSMUN Facilitated debate across 2 days for a committee of 15 delegates, guiding the exploration of topics including atrocity crimes and the Yugoslav wars during 1988-1990; wrote and processed several delegate ideas to incorporate in crisis topics, providing delegates with engaging debate (11)
